Next Headsup forum for under 18s - starts Monday 18 June
The final HeadsUp forum of the year will focus on a once in a lifetime event for most of us!
Our next debate will be ‘The Olympic Games…do you feel part of it?’ – running from Monday 18 June to Friday 6 July.
Up for discussion are these topics amongst others:
• Olympic values - What are the Olympics for? Should cheats get a second chance? Will the games bring people together?
• Show me the money! - Has the Olympics become all about the money? Should athletes be paid to represent their country? Should this money have been spent on something else?
• Paralympic games - Does expensive equipment rule out poorer nations? Does everyone have an equal chance to take part?
• Green Games? - Are these really the greenest games ever? Should sponsors' attitudes to the environment matter?
As ever, accompanying the forum is comprehensive information for under 18s to ensure they understand the issues before the debate starts.
We also have Teachers’ Notes and activities to help teachers deliver lessons around The Games before the debate starts.
The forum is open to be viewed by all and will involve MPs, Peers and other decision-makers yet to be confirmed…
