An audit of political engagement was undertaken by The Electoral Commission and the Hansard Society in partnership with the MORI Social Research Institute. It looks at the nature and extent of the UK public's engagement with politics, and is based on a Political Engagement Poll undertaken in December 2003, which involved face-to-face interviews with a representative sample of 1,976 adults aged 18+ across the UK.
